Getting there does not need to cost you a fortune..

  * Cheapest available ferry cost for this summer - £40 return for car and 2 passengers on Norfolk Line from Dover - Dunkerque (approx 6-7 hours by motorway) 

*  Fly cheaply from East Midlands to Dinard;  for example on 10th July and back on 19th for only £166 for TWO adults with Ryanair 

* Take your own car from £190 return for the car and two passengers on the Condor Fast Ferry from Poole to St Malo (journey time only 4 hours 30 minutes)

 *  Take the Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo midweek from £288 for a car, two passengers and a cabin on the night crossing. 

 *  Hire a small car from around £125 per week!
