The first cut of silage is now in the barn made under good conditions - how lovely is all this sunshine. It is getting hot making cheese at this time of year as we have not got an air conditioned making room! At the moment we are making Devon Oke for Xmas. Devon County has come and gone - a very busy show. We had 2 x 2nds with Devon Oke which I was pleased with. Next week I have to send my cheese for the British Cheese Awards judging. Our next market is Ottery St Mary on Friday July 3rd followed by Crediton on Saturday July 4th.
We have taken over a little shop in Hatherleigh market called The Cheese Pantry which is open every Tuesday morning 8-30 until 1-00pm. All our cheese is available plus a selection of other local and west country cheeses.
Devon Oke is available from the following Waitrose stores at the deli counter
Peterborough, St Ives, Winton, Huntingdon, John Barnes, Ringwood ,Ely ,Bloomsbury ,Norwich, Salisbury, Okehampton ,Marlebone, Oxford Street, Cambridge ,Saltash, Sidmouth, Sudbury, Wymondham, Newmarket,Swaffham,Bayswater,Lymington.
Our cheese is available to send all year round for a birthday, an anniversary, a celebration, congratulations or just a thank you. A cheese by post leaflet can be downloaded, write your own gift tag and we will put this in with the cheese and send direct. A unique Devon gift.
