My History, Our Heritage The People and Places of South East Cornwall Project Since November 2006 the My History, Our Heritage project has been touring the towns and villages of South East Cornwall displaying and collecting archive and historical material. The events programme was part of a larger project aimed at regenerating the heritage sector in Caradon which has been made possible thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Cornwall Records Office and MLA South West. The project has allowed us to increase peoples' knowledge of, access to and involvement with archives and museums in the region.
S.E. Cornwall's New Archive These events gave members of the public an opportunity to bring any photographs, documents or pieces of memorabilia from any era for copying into S.E. Cornwall's new online, digital archive. Nearly 200 photos, documents and reminiscences have been recorded to date, which can be found by going to our archive at;
Got Something For The Archive? However, now the events have finished it doesn't mean the archive is closed! Continue to bring along any of your photos or stories to the museums and archives in the region and we'll copy them for you while you wait!
Alternatively, why not visit your local museum, archive or heritage centre to find out more about you're local or personal history! Check out the 'Museums' tab on this website for details!
